although collectors here want the tokai original pups I think they sound horrible if you're after the '50's PAF sound, IMO get a set of Wolfetone Legends or the newer Throbak's ( wound on the same equipment Gibson used in the '50's ) I think Seymour Duncan pickups sound dull & lifeless in...

you can get a used Les Paul Studio for $800 all day long, I'd argue that would be a better buy headstock repairs can be a non=issue, if they are done right....I wouldn't buy a gtr like this without personally inspecting it though; it doesn't look like its been treated well, how are you going...
