About the only thing that Mike and I DO agree on is that Gary Moore is NOT a bluesman..!!!

10 times the bluesman that Gary Moore will ever aspire to be.

 Are you feeling OK?

Yeah Snowy is a nice guy, I chatted to him at an Albert King gig in London once - as you say, no attitude at all, just a quiet modest man. I think that comes across in his playing. Like a few of the great blues players - Anson Funderburgh is like that too.

I believe Snowy lives round my way, & I heard a rumour that he gives lessons. I might have to look into this a bit more....

Going back to the old subject of Peter Green's Les Paul, it turns out that White & Green recorded together & spent a lot of time together, & I only realised a couple of days ago just how similar his style & tone are to Greens. So why, oh why, oh why did Green choose to give/sell his guitar to Moore & not White?

I'm sure Snowy wouldn't have sold it to make a quick buck like that f***** Moore did.

Lessons from Snowy White would be pretty cool!!

Imagine turning up to lessons with Snowy, with your new GT with black pickup rings!! You would scare the poor bloke :)

Yeah, that did occur to me. I'd look like a stalker.

This guitar is gonna be called Snowy, whatever I do with the pickup rings. I already have a gold Strat called Goldie, & Goldstars get referred to as Goldies, so I need a different name. And since you lot can't even tell me if it's an LS60, LS70 or whatever, I have to name the poor thing.

Beautiful, I've never seen that clip before. Late 60s I assume. What is T-Bone playing? An ES5?

Late 40's or early 50's (pre Switchmaster) ES-5 I believe. Here's a nice 52:
