Interesting, thanks. I'm not sure how to read that, is he saying that Duane Eddy was the lead guitarist on the original track?

Answer:

That is why I tried calling Ray, to see if I could get a straight
answer. I really think Duane Eddy was playing the rhythm
part, and Ray was playing lead, but everything I have read has
Duane Eddy with Al Casey on guitars.

Freddie King did it because he was so big and the strap didn't fit otherwise. Maybe it caught on from there. My guitar falls off too if I put the stap on the opposite shoulder.
