Sweet Jane - Lou Reed

The intro to this song is worth the price of admission. Such a nice musical interaction between two kick *** guitarists. Played lots of air guitar to it back in the early 70's when it came out:

Wow, I never heard that version of Sweet Jane before - amazing stuff. I just ordered the album! Great song, it's amazing what you can do with 3 chords isn't it?

By far, THE best version of this song and it's live. I can honestly say that this was one of those songs that got me into guitar. There's another song on that album (Rock and Roll Animal) called Heroin that is amazing. Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner on guitars:

Here's the scoop on the album:

I downloaded this of napster years ago and thought for ages that it was clapton, beck, morse and others playing a tribute to SRV because the file was wrongly named :-? How daft can you get? Great instrumental though! :D

Yeah, that Falcon was owned/played by quite a few people, including Sex Pistol Steve Jones and Joe Strummer of the Clash.

Anson Funderburgh and The Rockets with Sam Myers (former drummer for Elmore James) for a little taste of Texas style blues guitar (although Anson "borrowed" alot of his style from early BB King - as did Jimmie Vaughan)

And from the same show, an up tempo number with Sammy blowing harp.

8) Great stuff. In a little different vein, here's some early Alice Cooper - Long Way To Go. Is this guy playing a Jazzmaster or some hybrid of one?
