But not in that version, IMHO! She is soooo much better live, fortunately.

I don't care if you've heard it a thousand times.

Rock music doesn't get better than this.

Yeah, Buddy gets after it, doesn't he? Also one of my all time ZZ favorites. He plays around town quite a bit and it's always nice to see him. The Granada Theater where this vid was filmed is an excellent venue. Nice find.

I just found this one too, absolutely gutted  I was in Worthing the weekend this was filmed visiting the wifes parents :( and didnt know he was on at a local pub with Gary Moore! (Hi Mick  )
Pete.

Just rented it on blue ray...

going to watch it after watching "Bella".

Don't forget to watch the "special features" section...some great rehearsal stuff on it.

After you get done with Shine a Light, rent the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus from 68.... marvelous. Here's one of my favorite clips from the DVD (and favorite songs as well):

Gentlemen:

I give you... My Favourite Eric Clapton solo of all time:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2zmgGFKAg70

The intro has probably the greatest ever in-between sound, but the best bit is from 2m20secs. You can really feel him building up to a hot solo as he flicks Blackie from position 2 to the middle pickup and digs into the fretboard. 8)

It's the way a Strat should sound!!

From "The Pros And Cons Of Hitchiking"

Which also has one of my favourite album covers. Thanks to the wonderful rear end of miss Linzi Drew!

my favorite band in High school before i heard SRV..

I never knew that was Clapton!

Sure was Marcus.

He recorded the album with Roger Waters then went on tour with him.

Waters apparently got severely pissed-off because each time EC would step up for a part the audience would be on their feet, then they'd sit back down again at the end!

Apparently at one gig he got so annoyed that he threw his guitar down, said "Ladies and Gentlemen, the GREAT Eric Clapton!" and left the stage!!

He went on to apologize and continue the show, but I think EC was a little annoyed from what I've read.
Roger Waters may be one of the world's greatest songwriters, but he can't play guitar for ****.

He's no diplomat either!

He is.

Hence this at 3m10:

Actually, I'm being a bit unfair here. He's not bad as a general all-round guitarist who can accompany himself on an acoustic, but he'll never be (Nor does he pretend to be) in the same league as Clapton or Gilmour.

He's a genius of a songwriter though. "Amused to Death" is the only album that has ever made me cry. I don't mind admitting to it either. (You have to lsiten to the entire thing, end to end in a dark room for it to have this effect if you want to try it at home)
