hi, could anyone give me a rough idea of how much iis gonna cost to get a ?450 Tokai from japan to UK including all the add ons etc

Your best bet would be to enquire with the party shipping the guitar. Don't forget to add taxes for UK, all in all my ?700 Tokai came to ?1000 including shipping, insurance and taxes in NL. (oh! that's including a case...)

On a side note, shipping from the US to Spain (goldtop double boxed weighing in at about 20 lbs) and insured for $800 is:

Fedex $400 USD
UPS $300 +
DHL $245

Good old fashioned Postal Service is $120

This is why I prefer not to ship my eBay sold guitars overseas. When you add on shipping, duties and taxes, it's ridiculous.
