Hi Guys,

I'm currently looking into purchasing a LS90 (seller indicates it as such) from 2009. Asking price is 790€, so approx. 860$.
From what I could find, it should be a LS95F (due to the flame top), made in Japan. Pickups have been upgraded to Van Zandt Trubuckers.

What is you opinion on that one, should I take the deal? If anyone has more infoi, that would be greatly appreciated!

Yep. Looks like a 2009 LS95F VF.

The top is a flamed sycamore veneer over a maple cap. The back is probably 2 piece mahogany.

It should be well made and the pickup upgrade was probably needed. The MK3 pickups were budget pickups.

I can’t say much about the price. You can check Reverb to see what they go for.

2009 catalog.

Looks real nice, and that sounds like a pretty good price to me. Depending on shipping, etc. Let us know if you get it.
BTW, welcome to the forum!

It's a looker, isn't it? Shipping is not relevant, a I'll pick t up :)

BTW, I haven't tried the VZ humbuckers, but their single-coils are in almost all my Strats! They are better than anything else I've tried (Seymour Duncans, Fralins, Fender Custom Shop, etc)

Good to know! Gonna change the pots if necessary. I got 4 x 550k pots in my stash.
