:D The last couple of Tokai strats I've purchased have been of the 56' variaty with the maple neck. I go for the aged yellow/orange finish . Yesterday I picked up one of my 62' slab Toks which I hadn't played in a long time and fell in love all over again! The tone was much warmer and the whole vibe of that guitar was so sweet! I love them all, but for that Little Wing/ Axis/ SRV tone thay aint nuttin like a slab of rosewood! Play on Brother! TG

Great! :) I've always wanted to get good old '56/'57 or '62 style vintage Strat and I'm considering Tokai. I haven't tested Fender's and Tokai's head to head but I guess those ''reissue'' Tokais are very close to Fenders. '62 C-shape neck just feels so damm good to me but so does old '50 V-necks.

Forum member ochay has at present time a rare '62 slabboard neck at Ebay.
