Hi, I’m new to this forum and I’m usually an acoustic player so please bear with me.

My dad passed away a few years ago and as the only guitar player in the family, I got his guitar.
It’s pretty heavily customised (to the point that I always presumed he built it himself).

I want to restore it at least to the point that it’ll run through an amp. At the moment it’s only playable unplugged.

I know next to nothing about electric guitars and was hoping somebody here might be able to give me some info on it, or translate some of the specs below.

Here’s all the info I have on it so far (from digging through his Facebook posts about it):
-1982 tokai mk2 strat, bought in 1988
-Floyd rose 2 (not sure if these are original or modded)
-active tone
-rosewood plate
-Schallers (don’t know what these are)
-pafs (originally had 3, now has 2)
-tone circuit fitted to lower output
-serial number on neck plate 117608
-originally it was all white including the neck
-no visible branding except for the serial number and on the Floyd rose’s.

So sorry for your loss. Glad that he left you something that you can play and think about him as well as unravel the mystery of this guitar.

Looks like a Super Edition that has been stripped like you said.

Super Edition TSD & ASD Guitars

22 frets.

The serial number is very helpful and helps to date it.

Six Digit Serial Numbers Starting With 11xxxx

If you have pics of the pots that may help a lot.

Have a look through those threads and see what you think.

So the date should be 1984/85.

The pots may confirm that.
