How to date Silver star?

I have a Silver Star with a serial of 9002946. Whats the date? And is there a date range (in the pre lawsuit era) for silver stars that are more desirable?

it means that it is from 1979 .... and all that law suit talk ,,,, i think that is just crap talk ,,,,, i have one ss 50 from 1980 and have sold 2 ss50
and they are great guitars ,,,, very underrated in my eyes ,,,,

The production number indicates that it was build around april 1979. And there was no lawsuit..

i dont think it is a ss 48 with that kind of tuners ,,, maybe a ss38 or ss42
not sure about the 38-42 did not look it up ... but the ss48 does not have that kind of tuners
