Another data point for the 1983 LS50
That seems to confirm that the 57 PAF Vintage (MK1 alnico) was fitted to the LS50 in 1983. Maybe using up stock before switching to the MK2? The pickups in mine sound superb and don't sound at all nasally or lack bottom end in the front pickup.

There was recently a 1984 TLC60 sold on Ebay UK which had the MK2 pickups.

It is pretty confusing. Not sure I know which ones are actually MKII and which are more like an MKIII.

I would guess that the ceramic ones are MKIII, but the descriptions in the catalog don't say that and add to the confusion.
 
The only ones listed as an MKIII in this period are in the TSG50 in 1983/1984.
 
So now I need more readings on 1983/84 TLC60 guitars to see if they are consistently hot and are ceramic.
