Has anyone ever seen another TG translucent green (as per the recent ST100)? I don't see a TG code in any of the catalogue lists. I've found a thread from years ago with another TG mentioned with a block logo that also had gold hardware, unfortunately all the images were on photo bucket.

Nope... That is the only one I know of. That is why I was hoping to see a picture of the production code in the body on that one.

This thread is interesting, OP has a guitar with gold hardware, the missing photobucket images obviously show the body code as TG as it is not mentioned in the original post. Colin who owns the 100 in Iain's book then comments that it's exactly the same as his apart from it still has the block logo. Curse photobucket!

Maybe message Iain and see if he has other pics? He still checks in here, but is busy with other stuff.

Can you post a picture of the body? I can sort of see it in the background.

It can be hard to tell OW from BL in many cases.

Also a finish can “yellow” if it’s been around cigarette smoke, etc.

Ah the one from Markdorf. :) The WB code continues to be a mystery:

Or does it? "White Blonde" is one of apparently 8 Fender white color options (not idea since when though).

Another instance where body and neck stamp don't match. Here's the body stamp:

I hope the original PUs are part of the deal. :)

Okay, it's not that easy. The color Fender calls "White Blonde" was just called "Blond" (w/o the 'e') in 1958 and it's translucent. It's the color of what was later known as the "Mary Kaye Strat":

But it seems Fender introduced the Ash/Old White Blonde colors in the 90s. There is also a "White Blonde" option (code 01) without any modifiers but it's not known when it was introduced and it's a translucent finish as well, according to this chart:

The question is if this color option was around in 1982 so that Tokai would use the name. On the other hand, it is pretty obvious to call an "Off-White" (Fender Japan color option), white-ish blonde guitar color "WB" so it could've been just invented, not knowing that there will be a translucent color with that name some 15 years later.
