So, I'm thinking of buying an old "spaghetti logo" Springy Sound to go with my recent vintage LS purchase - why can't we have the best of both worlds!? I am now looking at a particular instrument, however it is unclear what year or model we're dealing with here. My best guess would be an ST50R, probably '82, but am still undecided. The guitar sports what appears to be a poly Sunburst finish, two-piece solid body and features a stripe-less "u" shaped neck with rosewood veneer fingerboard. Tuners and PUPs are, respectively, stamped and marked GOTOH. Clearly an early 60's pre CBS replica, but I don't currently have a serial number to work with. So, my question for you good people is this; was my diagnosis astute and is it actually worth picking up this guitar or am I better served waiting for an 80-100 to come my way?
