Hi Guys! I would like to ask on what is the main difference between a Matt Violin Finish and a Violin Finish. Another question, will the Matt Violin Finish look shiny like a simple Violin Finish? Thanks!

Matt finish is flat, or not shiny. The regular will be very shiny. I have a matt finish '05 LS-150 and it just has a bit of an older, duller, used look to it. It also doesn't show smudges as easily as my ES or SG. Very cool looking imho.

No, because it's matte not gloss.

The entire guitar is done in the matt finish...standard production.

In the catalog I didn?t find a plain top matt finish (LS). Too bad, since I prefer plain tops. Although that flame top in matt violin finish looks really great.
