Don't know him but that's a gorgeous goldtop.

Yes , I agree !!

3.6 kg ( ultra light ), pro refret , Gibbo Burtbucker 1 + 2 , scratchplate looks a bit newer than other plastic parts ?

Very nice one indeed and lightweight too.But i dont think its honduras on Ls50.I have a LS100S,one piece mahagony, from '81 and its weight 3,7KG.
Look here and you will see that only the LS200 is honduras, but this is a paper for love rocks.

What is a cashew finish?

Mike

Good question,Mike.Maybe its there name for a nitrofinish without any undercoating.I have no idea, perhaps someone will enlighten us. :D
Togps wrote in another thread, that only the LS380(470)have all nitro nowadays.

Volker

Thanks for that. It's interesting that they list both polyester & polyurethane finishes. Where does that information come from? And do you have the same information for any of the Fender clones?

Mike

Here is the thread, these informations are from Peter Mac,but there are no infos about strat finishes.

Hi Hot Rod, mate if this is a ls 50 i doubt very much that it is Honduras mahogany and Brazilian rosewood, as it says in the catalogue these timbers were reserved for the high end models only.

Mick

Yes the only picture of fretboard looks totally unbrazilian
Even not a nice rosewood.
