Hondo Professional (strat copy) help please

Hello. First post here. I am hoping someone can help me or point me in the right direction.

I recently picked up a strat copy made by Hondo II. It's called a Professional. It was made in Japan. It's a very nice guitar with a 70's look and a light ash body in natural finish. The serial number on the neckplate is #0015380 and the only other markings I can find on the entire guitar are a "YS" stamp inside the neck pickup route.

Does anyone know how to decode this serial for a date of manufacture, or know a web site I can check please? Or maybe just some general info about my new Hondo II?

Thanks! It looks like it might be a 1980. Just confused if it's a Tokai made or a Matsumoku made.... :-?
