Hello to every Tokaï guitars Lovers and in general to Made In Japan Guitars!
I recently trade a very beautiful Tokaï Love Rock MIJ and realised that my Friend who had bought that guitar used a couple of years ago did not really Know much about the year of this beauty. I took of the TRC ( Bell like) and saw that the Truss nut was a regular brass Gibbie LP exactly the same as my Gibson LP Standard Gold Top.
it has a beautiful Maple top ( Plain Top with nice wood veins.
2 pieces matched. Also all the Electronic has been upgraded.( CTS pots ,PIO capa and boutique PUPS. But I got thé original pups & pots .
Very nice Rosewood neck. No cracks or so on. And it has a bone nut. 80's Tokai logo to what I found on the web...??? Tuner are vintage double row kluson's like.(Shaller I believe)
probably came after Factory.

2008 is between a model change.

In 2007 LS80, 2009 it was an LS90.

The two piece back gives it away.

A lot has been changed on it as you know. Tuners, knobs, pickups, nut, etc. and the frets look like jumbo frets.

Poly finish.

Hope you enjoy it. Should be well made.

Tuners, pots, pickups, and Bone nut have been upgraded. But not the frets and neither thé Lacquer Taste japanese finish that like on Edwards for example, put nitro plus one light poly finish. It's the same here.
2 guys before me and I Know them. What I didnt Know 4 sure was the date as my Friend told me 2008 but I wasnt sure according to Google pics.
