That is not true, not with my R8 anyway. The neck tenon route is very tight and nicely crafted. However I have heard the same rumour about some era of Gibson USA(?)

According to internet there are thousands of girlfriends, wifes, mothers, etc that can hear infinitesimal differencies but still the number of before and after demo clips is almost zero :D

I agree with Alan but must say that this is one of the most beautiful fretboard I've ever seen. Just look at that grain and deepness in the inlays. Stunning!

I have bought 4 Tokai LP in two years. Everyone of them had that inlay 'inconsistency', some more some less, but everyone had it. To me it is not a problem tough, and I would not talk about quality control problem but it sure is typical for Tokais.

Thumb rule is that the resistance of mk2 bridge pickup is about 8ohm when it is made by Gotoh and about 11-12ohm if it is made by Keiyo. And they sure sound very different but I am pretty sure that so does your guitars. However, I would be surprised if a LS-200 had Keiyos(?) Pair of Mk2s goes...
