Yeah, I've seen those. The one behind the counter also has a broken headstock repair, the veneer is flaking off, and the pickups have been replaced.
I think they said the veneer was also replaced at one time.
I tried it and it didn't really have good tone.
They've had VGS for a long time, but I'm not sure that was made by Tokai.
I tried to find info on the VGS tele awhile ago, but haven't been able to come up with anything.
