I used to own an early 1990s Fender Japan St72 Strat. It was nice, but the neck felt wider than my original 1979 USA Fender Strat. I preferred the USA neck. I wish I had taken measurements before I sold the ST72. It's the only one I have ever been able to try out.

I'm considering pickup up a late '70s or early '80s Silver Star, or else trying a different ST72. How do Silver Star necks and nuts compare to Fujigen Fenders?

While we are at it, does anyone know if Fujigen Fender necks and nut width changed at all over the years? Could an '80s Squier or early "E" or "A" serial Fender Japan ST72 have a different feel than a 1990s ST72?
