Back in 1985 I got this at a vintage shop on Sunset Blvd. The body was stripped to natural at the time. Over the years came the gold finish, Seymour Duncan Hotrail, the re-fret with 6105s and a lot of hard playing. I decided to take it apart and do a little noise reduction work...so here it is.

Cool. And fascinating to see another neck with two numbers on the right side of the = sign.

Is that a V neck?

Is it stamped "80" on the end of the fretboard?

That's where I looked and it should be there, but the neck is kind of chewed up there. I will upload a close-up of that spot.

Here's the area where the stamp would be.

Mentioning of the Vintage shops on Sunset Blvd, brought back memories of walking the Blvd and checking out every little shop in the mid 90s. Such a great collection of instruments, amps and pedals. My favorite shop was Black market music on Lacienga if I recall correctly. Piles of Vintage pedals stacked in the cases. Place was a goldmine. The days when you can find a great Les Paul for $1200.

I remember hearing about that place after I left LA. They had a lot of vintage Marshalls and their prices were known to be reasonable. The place I got my Tokai was Guitars R Us.
