I saw that. Looks quite similar to my '79 LP Reborn LS-80. The interesting feature on mine is that it is a veneer flame, which I believe is pretty unusual for an LS-80 of the era.

Looks like a LS-!20 to me Greg. It's like the 120's that have solid tops. Rare, but some exist. I guess. I'd wager that your guitar was intended to be a 120 and for some reason didn't meet the grade somewhere else... or slip through the cracks somehow and was mistakenly sold as an 80. And the same for the 120's with solid tops. Be very cool to find out why these rare examples exist.

Did that one have a neck repair?

Seems there is always an exception to the rule, and this may be one of them. It is stamped 80 on the fretboard, so there is no mistake on its model. But you're right, maybe the flame wasn't nice enough to be a 120. Regardless, it plays and sounds fantastic and is in very good condition.

Not that I'm aware and there's no evidence of a repair. Why do you ask?
