I don’t get it. The store that sold it originally,

Studio 102,

doesn’t sell anything cheap. Makes no sense.

Here is the current seller's description of the black Springy:

■ Contents and condition ■

● Made in 1981, TOKAI ST-80 Order Special specification exhibition (PU , pots are not included)

● The only item for sale is the posted photo, and the pickguard and PU cover are included, but the pickup body, PU selector, pots, and output jack are not included.

● The custom-made information provided in the 1982 catalog was carried out at a major retailer from the previous year, and the previous owner told me at the time of purchase that ``this guitar reflects that order''. (Maple neck + black matching head in body color)

● Because this order is for models with a list price of 80,000 yen or more (as shown in the catalog photo), an E-stamp pickup was included when I received it, but it is not included. Ported to guitar. I planned to modify this guitar after purchasing the pickup separately, so I removed the pots and took it apart, but since I don't have time to start modifying it, I am selling it as is.

● The neck is in good condition and the rod can turn left and right. Before disassembling it, I used the orthodox string height setting and there was no chatter or jammed sound.

Since this is a guitar that is over 40 years old, there are signs of use such as hammering.

Weight: 2.98 kg (Weight as shown in the photo) *Weight before disassembly when the pickup is installed: 3.26 kg

● There is a "TOKAI stamp" on the back of the peg and the bridge saddle (there is some wobbling on the back cover of the 1st string peg)

● Accessories: None (things shown in the photo) ● Since it has been a while since the item was dismantled, we are unable to provide any details other than what is listed above.

● Please check the photos and the above description before making any comments. Please be sure to read the following <common statement for all exhibits> under `` Claims, No Returns'' .

Here’s his explanation in the listing description:

“I planned to modify this guitar after purchasing the pickup separately, so I removed the pots and took it apart, but since I don't have time to start modifying it, I am selling it as is.”

Makes even less sense now. Why not just put it all back. Something is off with this story.

So he buys it for somewhere around 300,000 yen ($2,000) and is selling it starting at 1,400 yen (less than $10). Because he can’t put the pickups back in it. Beyond weird.
