Valve combo

Just some advice regarding amps
Purchasing ls85f, only been learning for a year starting at the grand old age of 48, but have just started doing a few jam sessions on my Squier. Want to purchase a valve combo to compliment the new guitar, budget is an issue (I have a wife!!!)
Suggestions (regarding amp choice) would be much appreciated

what's the point in having a good Tokai without a good amp? They have to go together IMHO.

If I am not mistaken the LS85 has Mark 2/4 PAFs. I am sure Richard know precisely.

The point I always find with PAFs is they never are really "clean". So I boost them with a Reussenzehn Blackface to clean them. Then I go into a Zvex BOR and straight into the next best amp (tube all the way it has to be). I just got really jealous seeing marcusnieman's setup on this forum!

I am playing a 1979 LS80 Les Paul Reborn (with Seths since 2 weeks (DiMs SDs before; thanks again John)).
