Bought this one today. Think its a beauty and in very good condition. Got the old Goto PAF pickups. What you guys think? And whats it worth in your opinions?

HNGD! This is likely going into the inkie gallery once you have please made some pictures of the cavities (in order to help solving the mystery/confirming or debunking the theories). :)

What you guys think?

Hopefully nothing because we don't have our hands on it! You tell us!

Think its a beauty and in very good condition.

That's all that counts. I know you want some congratulatory confirmation that it was the best purchase ever as an antidote against buyer's remorse but...even though it's a Tokai it's still a guitar. :) I'd recommend giving it a few weeks of becoming comfy at your home and yourself a few weeks of learning what sweet things it has to offer. :) You're getting this kind of boomer lecture because in my experience, it was very often the not immediately obvious things that made me really love a particular guitar.

And whats it worth in your opinions?

What did you pay for it? That's how much it was worth to you and that's - again - all that counts. Check Reverb and eBay when you decide to flip it. :)

I will receive it tomorrow. How do they sound?
Mine sound amazing to me. It's my best sounding guitar. Now that is just me and my taste. I am after the Burst flavor. Whatever that is. Lol. Never heard one in person. I have watched every Youtube video of when they are played with good headphones. I did have to balance the outputs with the screws and mine like to ride low. There are some nuances and harmonic overtones that are amazing in it. Not anything you could pickup with high gain or on a recording. But A/B against some nice Gibsons.... it blows them out of the water. Even the owners of the Gibsons are like... wtf! lol

Did you get your guitar? How do you like it?
I really like it but have to get a bit more comfortable with the tone. The guitar is still in awesome condition for its age.I think they sound really vintage and raw when overdriven. At this moment i like the neck pup more than then bridge position. Have to play some more and will crank it up this week with my band. Will let you know soon...

Looks like you have the "LS Dynamic" pickups with the hex poles?

Those were made for the next model year (1981) so your guitar was probably made late in 1980.

In a period of a little over a year there were 4 different versions of the LS Dynamic pickup.
