That is weird. These must be the worst pics ever because you can barely see any flame. An LS150 should be a stunner.

If that picture was taken with a flash it would look like a different guitar. I see this a lot.

I'd like to see a pic of the neck pickup cavity. It might have the 150 BS marking in there. Also a money shot pic showing its a solid top. If it's an 1980 Solid top, 100 or 120 even, it's still a great deal. If its a 150, it's a steal. Would make a great player.

Why would it have BS after the model number? Are you referring to the color? It's definitely not a brown sunburst.

I have seen some claimed LS-150 examples over the years with tops that were fairly lackluster and the example in the OP looks to be yet another. Not all 150s were created equal ;)

Here is a 1981 LS-60 with a maple top that looks like it should have been on a LS-200 so ......

It's an LS150 as per the oval label that once adorned it.

As I said, the pictures suck.

On a lot of these YJ listings they photograph them in low light or with fluorescents which mutes the chatoyance of the tiger grain.

this one is up to 426,000 yen ($2979 USD) with nearly five days of bidding left; where will it end?

No Honduran lumber only Khaya, no Brazilian lumber only Indian and no long neck tenon; just lot's of crazy
