I am creating this topic to denounce those who take advantage of Ebay to make sales, but increasing in price.
Unscrupulous resellers who buy guitars at a good price and resell it to a more expensive price of the original and it does not help buyers

Let's start here:

Original :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180560875992&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123#ht_1860wt_1139

et now :

http://cgi.ebay.com/91-Orville-Gibson-54-Lespaul-BLK-P-90-/300483716678?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item45f639a646#ht_4803wt_905

500 dollars more ?????????????????????

Not to take away from the subject of debate, but it is possible that the two guitars listed may not actually be the same guitar though the S/Ns may be very similar. The one in the aquamusic ebay auction is actually currently for sale locally in Japan at a much cheaper price here: http://atstyle-guitars.com/?pid=24116744. In htis case there is a different business model that may make you even more angry: the ebay seller does not actually take possession of the guitar though, and if he sells he can buy it and have have the original owner send directly to the purchaser! Of course, it this business model is so lucrative, more people should start to do it and the price should eventually come down.

There is a lot of trading information and guitars between sellers here in Japan to keep the prices high. It happens in all kinds of businesses here and in other countries.

It's pretty much where all the progress we've made has come from...

Really? Well, when our "leaders" (politicians, Chief Execs of big companies, most "investment bankers" etc. etc) work to those rules & pay themselves only a salary that they have genuinely earned (no obscene bonuses), then maybe we should start to worry about guitar dealers trying to make a buck in the middle of a recession.

Until then, forgive me if this particular "problem" fails to keep me awake at night......

(Sound of slow clapping)

Ok fair enough, some other people don't do it so nobody should have to bother.

It's a personal choice - add something useful/valuable for what you get or be one of life's parasites. No I am NOT saying the seller is a parasite, but some of the people you've mentioned are.

Meanwhile, our magnificent new Conservative government is pushing through swingeing cuts of around 25% in just about every government department. No sign of them reducing the number of politicians by 25% though, strangely enough.

Ho hum, I guess nobody ever said that life was going to be fair.......
