Hi!

LS50s are supposed to have 2 piece backs and 3 piece tops. I currently own only one 1981 LC60, which has a 2 piece back and a 3 piece top.

However, I never had one of the newer (after 1985) LS50s. You can access quite a lot of pictures of the Tokais I owned and still own at

I hope this works. I am actually quite fed up with photobucket.com.

Cheers! Rup

I guess you just have to look for "rgrafend" on photobucket.com

Take a close look on some of the ladies!

Helpful feedback folks, thanks. Joe, I know what you mean about the lower Tokai's being players... I bought a newer one (and forgive me I don't know the model other than a '01 MIJ P-90 GT and definitely a 14 degree head) on a whim a couple 3 years back that I only kept a short time before selling to help finance a J-200. Glad I did tho' as it reintroduced me to the MIJ quality after too long a time. My very first electric was a sweet Ibanez Artist back in '82.

I checked some guitars on ebay and rupert's custom seloing here but looks like LS60 has 3 pieces...are you shure about 2 pieces?

I`m sure about mine...1978 LS-60, won`t pretend to know about all 60s `cause I haven`t seen em all...

no I don`t.
I know it`s not a high end model, many members here have some that are top of the line but I`d wager nobody else paid around $200.oo for theirs and I`m almost certain many here would have walked right past this lowly LS-60, especially since it had Duncans installed by somebody a long time before I got it...but it`s an unbelievable sounding guitar. Heavy as hell, and the back has been naturally reliced but when I`m too old and decrepit to play it I`ll give it to my nephew.
