Does anyone know if this is a legit guitar?

I can't find any reference online to JV Jazzmasters--were any made, or did someone get a JV strat neckplate on ebay and throw it on this guitar? If it's real it's pretty rare!

I`ve seen early 80s Jazzmasters for sale on the Japanese web so it seems they were building them. I own quite a few FJs from that decade and all have some kinda stamps and/or markings on the neck butts and inside the pockets...don`t have a Jazzmaster however. See if the seller can supply pics of the numbers on the pots to try and date those.
