It looks like a real Greco Super-Real, but it's not an EGF1200, they were only available in Honey-burst. Probably an EGF850 or 100, but the 'double-trick' pickups are not original to any of the Super-Reals, they are nice pickups but not high-end.

Yeah, really unusual, from the pics eve the pickups appear to be stock, not messed with, but how can one reaaly be sure it's a 1200 from 1982? Did they change the spes of the pickups in those years?

It is not a EGF-1200... They came with Only DRY-Z Pups....It has the Double Trick PUPs... which are on the high end... Here is the price breakdown

Greco Super Real pickups made by Nisshin Onpa (Maxon) Pickup prices.

DRY 20000 Yen
DOUBLE TRICK 18000 Yen
THE GROOVE 16000 Yen
SCREAMIN 14000 Yen

In the 1982 Mint Collection Catalog There are guitars with Super Real Logos..This was a transitional year.
EG59-70 or 85 had DOUBLE TRICK

1982 Guitars with Dry-1982 in them were:
EG59-100
EG58-100
EG58-120
EG60-150
EG60-180

So... you can say that this guitar was down the food chain... IMO its a EG59-70 or 85

Yes, really interesting guitar, anybody knows how those double tricks pickups sound?

Whats the difference between the EG58-100 and the EG58-120 apart from the 15 000 yen case? More figure in the top?
Do they come in the same finishes?

The one in the picture has got fret edge binding and the nice rounding to the neck-binding that some of the G*bson VOS have.

It also has the more true celluloid inlays instead of the REAL Super Real's fancier MOP inlays.

100 is laminate, and no fret binding, 120 is laminate with fret binding....

Not the transisional ones obviously.
The topic is on a EG59-70 or 85 with fret edge binding.

What about finishes? Did EG58-100 come in honey burst 1982?

And the 15 000 yen case?

On the Real Super Real it is the case (15k yen) plus the dryZ upgrade (10k yen) (+ discount!) that differs EGF1000 from EGF1200 (Maybe som more figure!).
Is it the same between eg58-100 and EG58-120, only they got the same pickups?

....thats for general mint collection, not left over super real necked ones...

So the only difference between the "general MC" EG58-100 and EG58-120 is fret edge binding?

An EG58-180.. would have a solid Maple 2 piece top like an EGF-1800

Here is an example of an EG58-180

Sorry... I love to show this one off

Yes.. the only difference is the fret edge binding...and they both still have laminate tops.

I'm well aware about the veneer top, but that's not much of a difference is it?

So there was no original case included in the 120 000yen Mint Collection then, as it was with the Super Real EGF1200?
