I want to replace one of the nickel covers on my Classic 57 neck pickup...This pickup is wax potted throughout.. :-?
What can I do to the new cover replacement to alleviate microphonic feedback between the pickup and the cover w/out having the pickup sent away for repotting?
i've heard of guys lining inside the cover with masking tape? What about a light film of clear silicone and where do we put the tape or silicone within the cover?
Mine has way too many scratches and I have the correct cover to replace to..
