Howdy All,

I'm doing a page on grecoed.com regarding folk who appear to have been endorsed at one stage by Greco back in the day.

Wondering if any one out there can tell me who these honkys are and any of their background if known...

I've just found the big haired guys - from the hair metal outfit - MARCHOSIAS VAMP - follow the link to the tube - 'my baby gonna be my dog'... funny.

Cheers and thanks,

Jimmy Page has used greco's Zakk wylde has a Greco Zematis that he uses and Ronn Wood also used a Zematis, there are a few others that i can't think of right now but i don't think they were actually endorsed.

8) dont forget this man please. the original grecoman !!!!!

Yes, very hard to find live clips of him or 'Flied Egg' for that matter (pretty sure that was his band?)

The only one I found was much later in the peace where he played a Fender.... hmmmph.

Have stuck a Flied Egg link on the endorsement page. Sure sounds like a 450 to me.

Cheers,

Hugh

By the way Tokyo Joe - would you have any idea who 'Mister 1000' is?

8) is it really the name of the musician or possibly just the name of
the model? (his model? or just a model? reading the ad above
makes me think so........anyways i go check "mister 1000" for ya.

Definetly the model - just calling the chap playing it that for any better name. Pretty sure a MR1000 hence mr.

I don't think Jimmy Page ever officially endorsed any Greco.

I'm pretty sure that Elliot Easton from the Cars is in one of the Greco Super Real catalogs officially endorsing Greco.

There are other players as well.
I might have a look at my Greco catalogs.

David Byrne used a greco go back in the 80's with the talking heads. Don't know if he was sponsored though.

saw a pic of james hetfields stage guitars and one of his mainers is a zematis. not an endorsement but still of interest(even though he hasnt written much of interest since the early 90's imho)

Charlie Sexton (Arc Angels, Bob Dylan, etc) plays a Greco Zemaitis like this one:

Good call re: Hetfield's abilities... it all went south after .....and Justice.
exactly, what happened there? only other band who've lost it so badly were the deftones with their appalling self titled effort

Suzi Quatro had a signature bass. A sort of thunderbird with precision and jazzbass pickups.
