Goldstar strats - all japanese?

Just wondering, are all Goldstars Japanese? The seller says it is, but there's only a sticker on it saying so, which obviously could have been stuck on.

The stickers on the back look absolutely authentic Tokai fare and it's a ST-40 made in Japan. I am pretty sure this is not from the golden age of Tokai manufacture. I just bought a pre '85 Goldstar for ?270ish so you might be wise to wait. Others might be able to tell you more about the quality of this guitar but it's not a sought after model.
