If you're within reach of Leeds / Bradford UK & interested in the following. please contact me.

Before I resort to eBay, I thought I'd see if any of you Guy's might be interested in a swap/trade.
I have an early 80's Tokai Goldstar Sound Strat & I'm looking for a similar quality/period Gibson style guitar.
E.g. Tokai, Burny, Aria, Yamaha SG, Gordon Smith etc.

I think the Tokai is from 1984, Black body, Rosewood board & has all the correct vintage type hardware.
There is light wear to the body but the frets are in good order.

I installed a Lindy Fralin SP-43 pickup in the bridge position. This approximates a P90 sound.
The wiring, pots, switch & caps etc have been upgraded with a high spec harness from TFN Technologies using Sprague, CTS etc. See http://home.earthlink.net/~tfntech/

The original Grey base pickup is included

Hi there

I'm not too far North of you, in Middlesbrough

Nice guitar!

I have a Gibson LP Standard in tobacco sunburst, 1995, all original with case. Obviously I woud be looking for cash my way :D

Alternatively, would you be interested in cash? If so how much?

Cheers

As an update to my original post, I may also be open to trades / swaps for a 1x12 valve combo or head 30-40 watts.
Alas age & dodgy back means that my 1979 Marshall JMP MV 50 2X12 combo is getting too heavy, but the gigs still keep coming, so if my Marshall and/or the Tokai Goldstar grab you & you have a nice amp of similar quality/pedigree to my Marshall to swap or trade, let me know.
This will mean that a fairly local deal will have to be done as I'd want to check the amp personally.

See link for pic of the Marshall. (The Black one in the middle)
