I was responding to his comment but I am not seeing that in your post. Here it is.

It's quite surprising that they would put a Jacaranda fretboard on a mahogany limited-edition SE that appears to have a 3-piece body which is typically found on the low-end models.

True true, Leo made his guitars on the basis of availability of material, and the Japanese built on what was possible. That’s why they are cherished by us now, take a look at the Chinese built instruments, I won’t ever criticise the finish, the standard has flow on effects
