Looks like that guitar had some clashes with our planet in its life and literally bumped heads with it (fretboard looks like it's separating near the headstock too). "Junk" in Japanese description terms.
 
I really don't like that crack between the fingerboard and neck near the nut. I wonder what the other side looks like. Sometimes that happens when the guitar falls face down off a stand. The binding and seam separations on the body would need some work too.
 
Nice guitar. I hope whoever got it has success with a luthier. Worth saving.
