I aquired this Fernandes strat a few days ago, fired it up today, & to my surprise, it played & has a beutifull tone,,just excellent. all factory, alnico pups & wax potted, all shielded & extreme care was taken on the wiring, even a orange drop is present & even the leads off it are carefully cover with sleaveing. It is heavy than heck, heavier than my American DLX ASH fender. I thought it would'nt sound good because of the heavy wieght , I was so very wrong, I like it's tone netter than my Revival, which is no slouch is strat world,.Another strange thing is the flame on neck, I do not think it is photo flame, could be, but I do not think so. Also has the seriel pressed into the fret board on last fret. It is 61606. I have never seen this guita before, so I grabbed it quick on a whim, glad I did. It is also checking & grain sucking like crazy, I do not no what finish it has yet, ..My 1981 Revival has lotsa checking & grain sucking, but is 6 years newer guitar. Body must be some kinda ash, never held such a heavy strat, it playes like a dream as it came, ..no adjustment needed. Has large block trem with cast string supports,I have 30-40 pics of this guitar underneath plate, but were took from previouse owner & can't seem to copy them & paste them, I think they are protected from copying. Has excellent SSS routes of nice clean & rounded, noghin sloppy & no sighn of a router bit markes which I like..clean.......I think 2 piece back & 1 piece top..I think..?Have any of you have this guitar series & what do you think of it..Tonally it is superiour to my Revival & all my other strats,, speacial & but **** heavy..
