Help with identifying a Dry Z pickup

your comments regarding the EG1000 I sold to you are pathetic, the discussion regarding authentication of Dry Z is still not finished. I know they are original pickups, and that they are in fact Dry Z. your attempts to persuade other forum members that this was a fraudulent sale by me to you...

Help with identifying a Dry Z pickup

Hi japanstrat I have heard the pickups on that guitar, before it was sold to a TF member....... I also owned a 1984 Greco RR95K with the Kahler tremelo and dry 1982 pickups, very heavy at 5.4kg, and pure rock tones, very high clarity. On comparo, the EG1000 sounded much better, it sustained...

    Fakai

Hey, I thought leeching other pictures from the web and using them is a copyright breach, and that copyright laws are actually international. Those Fakai manufacturers/distributors/sellers seem to think they can walk on water. They use real pictures of Tokai, Fender, and Gibson guitars to...

This looks like a sweet ls-100

Hi Mark I had a 1982 SS70 that had a D stamp as well, and a Tokai specialist guy with information about it, mentioned that the D means for export to Germany. But, I don't think that is quite right, and I am positive that something is wrong with that explanation, most likely because of the...

    Super Real 1980 EGF850 and 1981 EG1000 Custom

Thanks Mark Ed, you really are getting a great guitar, it's the sound, and feel, it's the 'clarity' of those Dry Z that really set's them apart, truly remarkable clear tones. Congrats. Liverpool, The EGF850 will be sold again shortly. It will have a more detailed description, so as to avoid...

    eBay Oz, Bad Penny

Good work Gibsonlegal. +1 Counterfeit mofo's. You see, counterfeit manufacturers, are only taking profits from the real manufacturers, such as Fender, Gibson and Tokai, and that profit money should only go back to the companies. If the money doesn't then, their profits decrease, and that...

Which model Silver Star have I bought?

I am sure that the stamping after the last fret ended in 1980 (same as the Springy etc), from 1981 Tokai started to use the small black oval shaped sticker on the back of the neck, near the neck plate, for the strats, and the back of the headstock for the Lesters.

Which model Silver Star have I bought?

They have the same body as the Springy Sound, just different routing, the SS60 (extremely rare) has the same routing as a Springy though, the material is Alder and Ash for high end. Mick Edit: and Sen Ash for high end.

    ST 70 Rare Limited edition

Hey thanks ochay and volker. Yes the brass bridge certainly made a difference in sound, which was warmer than my ST50 Springy I used to have. This one has now finally sold and gone to the USA, after having some drama with Ebay Fender FBI Squad. I had mistakingly used the word stratocaster...

    1981 Greco EG1000C Super Real

Actually an early mint collection would be one of the first mint collection guitars, and that would be around mid 1992 and thereafter. Super Real guitars were made right up until Mint Collection guitars started, and yes there are transitional guitars etc..... Super Reals have 1980, 1981 and...
