I found a Tokai Custom Edition (script logo) on Ebay with the exact same tuners as on my guitar. It seems that they used these tuners back in 1986?

When I opened up the package and saw the guitar the first time, I was kind of disapointed, because I thought this is a brand new guitar. That was my first impression. No dents. Nothing what would point to a real vintage guitar. Sure, it is possible, that somebody kept this instrument in a case...

Chrome ones. Looking different from my other goldstar. the tuners are smaller. Another question: Tokai Vintage 80th pickups - is that the name for the ceramic pickups? Does a ST40/50 have a bone nut or plastic?

HI, I recently bought a Goldstar ST50. The Body is 4-piece and the pickups are ceramics. Isn't it rather a ST40 instead with this specs? The guitar is in a brand new condition. There are even some parts of the plastic foil on the pickguard. Here are some pictures: http://www.bluesroxxx.com/51.html

I solved the problem by wax potting the pickups. Great improvement. No microphonic feedback anymore, even with high gain settings. I used the pickups for a funny strat project. I used a 99 Euro Squier Bullet. Than I changed the tuners, the saddles, the tremolo block, the pickguard incl. the...

Today I installed a set of Tokai VI stamped pickups with disappointing results. Feedback!!! When dialing in a bit of gain at the amp I get feedback even if I dampen the strings. I don't have this problem with other Tokai pickups. I own E- and U-stamped and also Fender, Lindy Fralins and...

Now I have some more informations from the seller. He bought it himself from a guy from switzerland who sold it as a Tokai, which I believe it really is. This guy replaced the logo and applied the stamp to make it look like a Fender. Later the pickups were changed to DiMarzios and than to Lindy...

I don't know. But I am pretty sure that it is a Tokai body. The neck I am not sure about. It is not a Fender but I don't know what neck shape it should be if it is a Tokai. It is differnt from all the other Tokai's I have. It is a C-type not a C-D type like the Springys and Goldies.
