First of all, thank you stratman323 for your help ......

Now my question: Can anybody help me out for dating my Tokai Custom Edition, Serial number is 12544.

I will add some pictures. I replace the tuners which are shown on the picture to the original ones. I also changed the saddle/ vibrato unit, the old one was totally damaged.

I hope somebody can help,
thx in advance

Nice looking strat. Gongrats and wellcome to the forum. I guess it's mid-80's. Just by looking at the registry my best guess is it's probably 1986. I used to have a partcaster with similar neck. I sold to a friend, I hope he still has it so I could check it out. A real frankenstein of a guitar, someone had sanded the finish off with a powertool. Punk was not dead yet.

That is a 5 digit serial number on a rosewood board guitar. 1xxxx.

From what I have seen it likely dates to around 1989.

Five Digit Serial Numbers 1xxxx 1989

Pics of the pots would really help wit nailing this stuff down.

If you ever read this, would love more pics. Very interesting guitar!
