Ah thanks for that, this very much cures my curiosity! :)

(Among all the problems my 7-"Strat" had, not getting much in return for a lot of weight was one of them. I initially didn't care much about the weight because I was the kid back then. :)).

Tokai LIMITED 70 Tokai Limited

This is a copy model of Tokai ST-70 and Fender's THE STRAT. I think it's almost completely original, but there are some disappointing points. Comes with a 6mm diameter tremolo arm. In other words, the arm hole of the tremolo unit's inertia block has been re-bored for 6mm. This was the specification when we got it. One string guide is missing. There is no back panel. The output jack is almost at its limit. The neck is slightly warped, but due to the filing of the frets, the string height is approximately 2 mm above the 12th fret of the 1st string, and approximately 1.8 mm above the 12th fret of the 6th string, especially in positions where there is a buzz or no sound is produced. there is no. There is no problem with bending at a position higher than the 12th fret of the 1st string. I think you can lower the string height a little more, if only by a small amount. Nut width/approx. 42mm. There is something like a crack (crack?) about 15mm long from the fingerboard nut to the 1st fret. It doesn't seem like it will reach the depths, but I haven't been able to fully confirm it. This has also been present since I purchased it, but it hasn't really spread (about 11 years have passed). The truss rod is the limit. If you look at it positively, the neck material is almost out of alignment, so if you correct the fingerboard and reset the entire neck, I think you can get it close to perfect condition. Right now, I'm trying to keep it as original as possible. Tokai's blue metallic has a nice melancholy feel to it. There are some scratches and dirt, but I think it's in good enough condition for a 40-year-old guitar. Body weight: approx. 3.5-3.8kg. Comes with a vintage 70's Fender hard case. There are stains and scratches on the whole, peeling on the handle, etc., and one back hinge has been repaired, but it is a usable item. Is there a slight musty smell inside? There are times when it looks strange, but it is a worthwhile case. The item will be shipped by placing the main unit in this vintage case, wrapping it in a bubble sheet, and using Yamato Transport, Otegaru Shipping, or courier service (size 160). Vintage Tokai has been reevaluated and has become more expensive. There are some problems, so I think you can buy it at a low price. I would like to humbly thank you! **

Seems the 7 is missing off the knobs, I’ve seen a couple like this I wonder why that is were they early releases without it stamped in?

Fender had the plastic neck plate on the original "The Strat" models so it seems that Tokai included it on their replicas. Greco, on the other hand, did not include this detail on their version.
You know, I had never even noticed it on the others until you said that. Good eye.

Another one Mike & Mike are selling right now, a lefty Goldstar, also has it.

Note the black spacer on the neck plate (like the SS70S they are currently selling)

heavily yellowed (smoke stain?)
shielding paint
re-wired U pickups
