Just hooked up what I believe is a modified 1981 Greco EG-480R! scored it for $300 + the outrageous shipping from Japan. My main needs were a LIGHT chambered or semi-hollow LP with a FAT Neck and preferably Cherry Sunburst. Looks like I covered all three from the specs, neck appears to be almost 1" deep from nut to body and weighing just over 7 lbs! That's as fat as my Allparts TMO-Fat neck on my #1 Tele. (-:
I'm pretty stoked to find exactly what I was looking for at a GREAT price! I've had a few MIJ Tokai LP's, but always got rid of them for weight issues. I had major Back surgery a few years back and I prefer just grab a guitar, sit down without a strap, turn on my 65' Blackface Bandmaster and let her rip. If the guitar is much over 8 lbs it just doesn't sit right for me...Looking forward to an early 80's Hand Crafted Greco, also interested to see how the Gotoh HB Classic buckers sound!
