Here are some pics of my first ever Tokai, an LC-60 Love Rock custom, in black. I have been told that it was likely made for the Japanese domestic market due to the 'Super400'-style (the "H" shape) inlay on the headstock. This model had an "ebonised" rosewood fingerboard, mahogany neck and ?body and a mahogany cap (no maple, as was the 1957 LesPaul Custom).
Bought on ebay for 780, after last minute battling with someone from Switzerland drove up the price from around 550. But what the heck, it was worth it.
The pics dont really do it justice. Like all of us involved in on-line dating like to say about pictures of ourselves, it looks better in person.
Sound and feel are awesome . . .
