That's sad news and my thoughts are with his family. But there's a wonderful thing about extraordinary craftsmen, luthiers or inventors: An important part of their soul will always remain present on this planet and have impact on people seeing, touching and admiring their work, in case of musical instruments you can even hear it.

Thanks for posting that; I wasn't aware he was fighting such an illness.

The Momose legacy as a craftsman, a luthier and a considerable force within the Japanese guitar building boutique market is pretty much unmatched by any others.

This is sad to hear. I've been wanting one of his guitars for some time due to the incredible reputation of fine craftmanship, but they are hard to come by here in the States. Best wishes to his family and staff

Thanks for sharing the link. Beautifully written article. Incredibly dedicated master craftsman. Seems like he lived a life doing what he enjoyed. Much respect. RIP.
