When did this ink stamp first appear on Tokais?

Very hard to know because there are some in 2003 that are confirmed ink stamps, but some in 2004 that are not. Odd

Confirmed ink stamps:
0306274
0408329

No ink stamp:
0403608

Very interesting. I can't tell by this picture and that is the only 2001 with "Made In Japan" I was able to find on line.

Or could this be a sticker too?

Almost looks like the corner of a sticker is upturned?

Cool. And I am curious why yuou blotted out the serial number? I see that a lot in Japan too. Is there a reason for it?

Probably just paranoia around putting information on the internet in general!

E.g. someone might report the guitar stolen, provide the serial number to the police and I might be arrested :)

Unlikely I know but I'm just careful in general about what information I post online.

Well, if it’s not stolen there’s no issue.

I had always thought people didn’t post numbers because it was either stolen or they feared it was. I can’t think of another reason.

I guess I would rather someone get their property back if they can prove it was stolen. That would suck. Thank goodness I haven’t had one stolen but I would want the chance to get it back if it were.

Thanks for being honest though. I see what you’re saying.

I think you misunderstood me. A criminal could claim my guitar was stolen, and since the criminal has the serial number the police might believe them!

Unlikely I know :)
