Tokai Stratocaster Silver Star SS-40? Made in 1981 Good condition Genuine soft case included

Baffling- these types of stamps are in the minority but they make little sense based on what we know (or think we know!)

I got this AST50 on the 84 list which I wasn't sure about, but now I think it must be correct. Dot & = mixture.

This one is very interesting. Being sold as an ST50.

The neck has an "A" stamp. That means it has a lacquer finish. Which means it was made for an ST80 or 100.

Body stamp only has the "N", no "A", but the code is very close to the one on the neck.

"A" pickguard assembly with "E" pickups.

Neck: 7=1 A
Body: 7=2 =N

I think it's a tokai partscaster. Certainly odd!
