Greco John Sykes model????

OK, I found this Greco John Sykes model earlier and put it in my "watched items." I go back to check it out again and it's been purchased with buy-it-now.

Does anyone know anything about this Greco model? I've never heard of it, but know there are Burny and Edwards ESP Sykes models as well as Gibson. Ol' John gets around!

It looks to be an '83, so would that make it a Mint Collection? Is the headstock inlay indicitive of anything? It seems like I've seen that on like a 335'ish model or something a while back. Blank truss rod cover? You'd think it'd have "John Sykes" in a script engraving?

Any other "signature" Grecos out there?

Hey MP, there was an Orville John Sykes model too (it's in the 1997 catalog).

Was/is Sykes like God in Japan? This make 5 signature Les Pauls!

The answer to that is "Yes."

Quite a few of his CDs were only available in Japan.

BTW, in 1997, there was also an Orville version of the Joe Perry Les Paul (the first version of them, that is).
