The music store I work at acquired this Tokai a few months ago, and as far as our research showed, it is a 2004 Love Rock, made in Korea (quite obvious, as it says on the back of the headstock). A couple of days ago, an interested customer emailed us and said it's part of a fake batch sold in Canada, commissioned by a dealer, and made without the approval of Tokai. He also says that MIK Tokais have 3-screw truss rod covers, and this one has a single screw. Pictures below.
If it is a fake, it appers to be a well-made guitar. Fret work is clean and level. It's also pretty solid, weighing in at 9.5 lbs, which seems to indicate real mahogany, and not basswood underneath.
Any help would be great!
