I just recently ran across one of these and realized how it’s almost impossible to tell a 1989 serial number from a 1990 one.
And a 1979 serial number can seem the same but the model of the guitar and other features would make it easy to tell apart.
1978 and 1988 also could be hard to tell apart except the models are different. For example Les Paul Reborn versus Love Rock models.
But 1989 versus 1990? Not sure if you can tell or if it even matters.
