Hello and good day.

I won this auction and it arrived today.
The seller listed it incorrectly. I am pretty sure that it is an order model as the body is unquestionably one piece.
It has the fattest neck of any Tokai I have owned and it is light weight - 6.5 lbs.
I stumbled across your post today trying to find something similar and the 2002 date brought me here. I am just happy that your posting of this auction didn't garner more bids as I was willing to go higher on it as I was sure it wasn't listed correctly when I first found it.

I have read many of your posts over the years. The early Tokai catalog translations were very helpful.
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Oh awesome! And I post things I think are cool, but other people rarely say much if they even notice.

And I rarely go by what a seller says. They often have no idea what they have.

I thought that guitar was super cool amd glad it found a home that will appreciate it. HNGD!

And thanks!

Seller's description translated with Google:

Description of item

I think it's a model from about 15-20 years ago.
At that time, I bought it because it was made in Japan.
This is TV Yellow!
limed mahogany of the time
It reproduces well. in this respect
I think it's cooler than the custom shop.
The shape of triple pegs and rod covers, etc.
I feel the commitment.

Checked with amplifier.
The sound is crisp yet thick and sticky.
All maho's P90 is round in the rear.
Both neck and frets are in good condition.
Very light weight, about 3kg
Very good handling.
The nut width is about 43mm.
I believe the paint is poly.
There is discoloration on the button of the peg.
The strap pin has been moved.
I thought I would fill the hole,
You can always go back to the original,
I dare to leave it as it is.
Comes with a deluxe hard case with key.
I think it's much better than the recent home.
This is your chance to get a good Tokai product.

Thanks! Very happy NGD indeed.
Yes I read the translated text but as you said I didn't go by what was written. The added picture of the damage really intrigued me as it revealed no seam. I found none when it arrived as I took advantage of the beautiful day and examined it in the afternoon sun . No indication of joining anywhere. Top, back and sides reveal a single slab of wood.

This one is a keeper for sure.
